New goal....again
I ran a great 4 miles on Sunday with mom and had a decent 3 miler today. New goal...to be back under 30 minutes for a 5K by the Jingle Jog in December. Coach Hudson runs it and it's a nice little race in Orangeburg. Just gotta keep getting out there!

I give up...
...I haven't run in weeks, I have no time, it's dark too early. So I just bought bigger pants.
I don't know how some people seem to have enough hours in their day to do everything, I don't. I need sleep. I need down time. I need to eat.
I feel like I can only focus on two things at any given time, either work & being healthy (exercise, cook good meals, etc) or work & school (mac & cheese for dinner, anyone?). I just can't do all three, and certainly not while trying to keep our house clean, our clothes clean and my bills paid. Thank goodness my darling husband does the last one, otherwise we might be in trouble.
What I definitely don't know is how people with kids do everything too. But they do. What gene am I missing? Isn't this the generation of the "Do it all" woman? Shouldn't I want to do it all?
Well I don't. Two things is all I can handle.

Getting back on track slowly
I made it through 4 miles yesterday!
I just wish I had some of my speed left, and I'm having serious diet issues these days. I just can't seem to drop any lbs and it's making me nuts. I've gotta figure out a new plan for my eating and excercise and will be chatting it up with a doc next week. I'm wondering how much the marathon training affected my metbolism and body and what I can do to gear up again.
Aiming for another 4 tomorrow...wish me strength at the end of the day!

Smart Coach, II
Hey there, hope you had nice weekends and that you made it out for some miles! I did not, but my mom was visiting and we did take the dogs for a 2 mile walk yesterday, which has to count for something.
Anyway, just made myself a new training schedule (thanks to runners world) for the 5 mi Turkey Trot. Don is in too. I put on a pair of corduroy pants this morning that I haven't worn since last year and I had to take them off because my butt was far too big to fit in them. Good motivation to get back on the road.
I start with 2 miles tomorrow. I LOVE running in the fall!

Motivation
I loved the quote! I've been itching to get outside and run (a rare feeling for me). This fall is gorgeous! If only I could figure out how to get that sun up earlier or to stay up later. I'm working from home today though so the goal is to shut down the computer at 5 and get right out there. I'm hoping writing this in the blog will give me the added push!

Good stuff...
"Every day, I stop halfway through my run for five minutes, look around, and enjoy the surroundings. I'm reminded of why I do this and why I love it so much."
Anita Ortiz
This was in my e-mail today, and I really enjoyed it. It's something I'm going to try and remember from now on. If you don't already get them from RunnersWorld, I'd recommend signing up for the daily e-mails.
I did another 3 miles with mom today and it was a good run. Not quite as strong as yesterday but that's alright.
Keep running strong ladies!
